Eileen McConville

I have 30 years' experience in hospital operations, with 15 years of volunteer management. I retired from New Hannover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC in December 2017.

At NHRMC I oversaw a volunteer workforce of more than 900 who donated in excess of 175,000 hours in fiscal year 2017. Knowing the line where volunteer work ends and paid staff work begins is key to having a highly integrated and impactful volunteer program.

During my 15 years of Volunteer Management, I have attended many National, Regional and State volunteer leadership conferences, learning best practice from industry leaders. I received my MBA from University of North Carolina-Wilmington in 2001 and certified at both state and national levels. Certified Administrator of Volunteer Services (CAVS) was achieved in October 2014 and renewed in 2017.

Vision Volunteering provides consultative services to hospitals and other non-profits to identify areas where volunteers can be most valuable. Working with paid staff, I will offer guidance so the program can continue to provide excellent service to all customers.
